When the pandemic hit, the caregivers at Providence Milwaukie Hospital answered the call. They donned a different type of mask and they showed up every day to provide essential care to those who needed it most.
The team at the Community Teaching Kitchen stepped up to provide food to those in need, those who had lost their jobs and who needed help feeding their families. They went above and beyond to make sure no one in our community would go hungry. The team also moved quickly to transition their work to the virtual world, providing access to patients in need via tele-health and online classes. Because we know that proper nutrition plays a huge role in our overall health and in boosting our immune system to combat illness.
Each and every one of the Providence staff on the frontline is a superhero, and we are going to be superheroes for them. With our powers combined, we can help them combat the villains of disease, poverty and hunger. We can help them do even more good in our community. Join us and make a gift to support their efforts and to expand the services of our Community Teaching Kitchen.
